How RCSEd support helped me
Alexander Martindale, Binks Bursary for Medical Student Elective, 2024
“Overall my time in South Africa was an educational and enriching experience… I feel more confident in managing trauma and have resolidified my desire to pursue a career in surgery. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to become immersed in such a contrasting culture and broaden my clinical knowledge and skills.”
Noel Aruparayil, Alban Barros D’Sa Memorial Travelling Fellowship, 2023
“As a trainee interested in global health, this was an incredible opportunity to engage with the international surgical community. I participated in two conferences, spent time at the HPB unit at Groote Schuur and visited the Global Surgery Division, University of Cape Town. Overall… it inspired me to pursue research in global surgical technologies and gain further insight into HPB surgery.”
