The Edinburgh School of Surgery Undergraduate Student and Foundation Years Research Symposium

RCSEd is delighted to invite undergraduates and foundation year doctors to attend the upcoming Research Symposium. This meeting comprises a student and foundation year-led symposium, involving a line-up of short presentations and poster displays focused on research undertaken during undergraduate training. It provides delegates with the fantastic opportunity to present work for feedback and receive recognition in a supportive environment. West Midlands Surgical Society Conference

The College is delighted to be working in collaboration with the West Midlands Surgical Society to deliver its upcoming conference. This event is open to all delegates, including medical students, foundation trainees, core trainees, registrars, SAS doctors, consultants and surgical practitioners. Attendees will have the fantastic opportunity to hear from inspiring keynote speakers discussing current trends in surgery. There will also be plenty of abstract presentations (oral and poster) allowing delegates to engage in discussions on a wide variety of exciting research topics. The conference offers an excellent opportunity for professional development, networking and learning.

Abstracts are being accepted for the WMSS Conference. We invite submissions from medical students, foundation doctors, core trainees or registrars in the West Midlands region. The deadline for submissions is midnight, Thursday 11 September 2025. Please refer to the WMSS Conference Abstract Submission Guidelines document and complete the accompanying submission form, and return it to outreach@rcsed.ac.uk by the deadline  stated above.
